FUN TOY!
Oh boy, where do I start? I have been TASED for training and certification. TASER by Brand is the device that shoots 2 barbed darts on a wire into the subject, when deployed correctly, will immobilize most people. Law Enforcement Tasers also have the ability to be used as a Stun Gun. Years ago I had a co-worker use the 'stun' feature on me, I HAD TO KNOW. He hit my elbow, OUCH. But it would not take me out of the fight. I bought this Sabre Defence Stun device recently because I wanted one. I stunned myself in the meaty portion of my right thigh. Feels like putting a 9 volt battery on your tongue, just much more intense. My teenage son and some of his his friends, (all over 18) wanted to try it. I did it to myself for a count of 5 seconds, not sure I could tolerate 10. As each one tried for the first time they stopped as soon as they pushed the button. As a new experience it hurts and you want it to stop. None of them fell on the ground and shook. I have assisted County Sheriff Deputy use the STUN FEATURE of a TASER on a drugged out female subject weighing under 100 lbs and possessing super human strength. She was face down and we were trying not to cause her any physical injury. Deputy stunned her for 5 seconds in the middle of her back, we would get her arms out from under her in order to apply restraints. After stun stopped she would then tuck her arms back under her body. I estimate she was shocked 4 or 5 times before we were successful in applying handcuffs. She suffered no physical injuries. Even applied by trained professionals electric shock devices are not 100% effective. At a gun shop I worked in customers would come in and wanted a Taser, I would explain the difference between TASER and other Stun devices, and cost. They usually walked out with personal Pepper Spray, (also not 100% effective, has worked for me every time so far). This device may buy you some time to get to safety, or change the mind of your attacker. Stay aware of your surroundings.
