Mag works
This magazine is the same as a mk ii mag just with a taller follower. I updated the spring with a tandemkross replacement and the red 11 rd follower. Note the baseplate and plunger are identical to a current mk ii mag.

What I needed as advertised
I required a quick fix of product by changing the magazine follower button to the left side. Instructions included with purchase. Works great.

Yes. It has a spring. The Ruger Factory OEM Mark I magazines have a traditional pencil diameter spring that travels the forward channel of the mag body. It's not typically visible from the broadside view.
