Ruger's Gunsite Scout Magazines are constructed of a glass-reinforced nylon polymer, making them highly durable and resistant to the elements, corrosion and most solvents. The magazines are easy to disassemble for cleaning, are function and drop tested at extreme temperatures, and come with a snap on dust cover for long term storage while fully loaded. The three-round magazine fits near flush; the base-plate is exposed when the magazine is loaded in the rifle.
