The Ruger No. 1 International single-shot rifle features a strong, simple, compact falling block breech mechanism with an artillery-style breechblock and under-lever that is ideally suited to today's powerful cartridges. The robust and sturdy, sculptured receiver forms a rigid support for the barrel, stock, and sliding breech block. The patented Ruger scope mounting system includes a quarter-rib integral scope bases that never shoot loose and accommodate Ruger scope rings. Ruger rings are included free with each rifle.
The ejector mechanism provides maximum leverage at the point where the ejector engages the cartridge case and can be adjusted to provide extraction only. It also features a sporting style buttpad, grip cap, and sling swivel studs.
