We have *zero doubt* that this ammo would serve you well for upland game hunting. Its #7.5 shot is a popular size for the job. Rio loads these particular rounds for target shooting, however, which their rigid lead 0.095” pellets excel at within all practical ranges.

This 2-1/2” shell (which is compatible with revolvers, e.g. the Judge and Governor) could have had a lower muzzle velocity and still done fine. Many shooters prefer the extra range and striking energy that go hand in hand with a 1,200 fps muzzle velocity. If you’re one of them, then you’ll like this shell. And since its column weighs only 1/2 ounces, you’re really not going to feel very much recoil. (It’s *still* the .410 Bore, after all.)
