The Union Metallic Cartridge Company (UMC) was an early American ammunition manufacturer which Remington merged with in 1912. Their name now stands for quality range ammo – in this case, quality *supersonic* 300 AAC Blackout range ammo!

This cartridge’s bullet isn’t a *total* lightweight. At 150 grains, it’s got a little extra mass that helps it hold more momentum downrange. By Remington’s measure, the bullet hits 1,905 fps out of a test barrel of unspecified length, at which instant it exhibits a G1 BC of .390. In less obtuse terms, the bullet flies quickly and efficiently enough to drop -19.5” at 300 yards (following 200-yard zero), at which range it will have moved approximately 14.3” to the side if a 10 mph crosswind is present.

Remington starts this round off as a virgin, reloadable brass case. They prime it noncorrosive Boxer. They close its mouth with a nonmagnetic full metal jacket projectile. A great pick for any rifle, although its supersonic report would conflict with a suppressor’s function. Made in Arkansas! 50 Round Box
