I've been using these slugs since I started hunting deer. Used same brand in my 410 single shot when I was a kid, moved up to a 20 gauge 870 in middle school, then still today hunt with them in a 12 gauge 870 Express. As long as you have a smooth bore there is no better slug for accuracy, precision, reliability or bruises...whether you buy the 2 3/4' or the 3'. I've taken deer @ less than 15 yards, 65 yards in woods and 85 yards in open fields Bottom line is... these slugs are a freezer filler!

These are some excellent slugs. I used these to take a trophy buck this year. They worked well on the range and in the field. These actually group at 1 MOA out of a modified choke barrel shotgun with a scope.

I used these to take a deer this year. This was my 1st deer taken with a slug. They worked well. I got Full pass through and things inside were pretty mixed around. The Deer traveled 50 yards after being shot. These actually group ok out of a short barreled shotgun at reasonable ranges.

Excellent slugs. I put a sporting clay on a tree, backed up 25 yards, pointed, and shot with only a bead sight and hit the clay smack center, then the slug went 6-8 inches into the tree. I fully plan on using these in my defense shotgun, when hunting, and hopefully when I go into the military.

They are ok. thats it. they grouped ok at 50 yards (5 rounds/5'). Recoil is WAY less than Winchester's SuperX slugs, but these burn REALLY dirty. The slug itself is ok. Winchester at least features Power Point and federal offers Truball. these are just: Remington Sluggers. no information on the point, which is a HUGE problem to me as i like to know what im using. this really isn't a slug i would buy again if i can get anything else, and i will still save money because Federal and Winchester both cost less. Federal and Winchester will always have my vote. good thing i didnt buy a lot of them...

i have been using this slug for the last 12 years. its good when matched with a good shotgun scope and sighted for about 75 yards. my father and i were getting 3 inch groups with these. i killed my first deer with one of these back in 2002. recoil is bearable. would maybe make a good HD load. good luck and good shooting to all.
