Technically speaking, Remington’s Range series ammunition is a step down in quality from their more popular UMC line.
But here’s the thing. I’ve fired a tremendous amount of both through more than a couple of pistols, plus my brother-in-law’s piece-of-trash carbine (he knows it). And while I may not be the most skilled shooter you could point to at random, I cannot for the life of me tell the difference between the two ammo lines.
Regardless of your skill level, you’ll have zero difficulties figuring out what to do with this versatile range ammo. It’s not match grade, but it hits where you’re aiming, because even Remington’s cheaper bullets are uniform and well made. The FMJ is nonmagnetic, *but it is plated* – a cost-saving measure that precludes this ammo from use with ported barrels and/or compensators.
Outside of that, this ammo is good to go. Reloadable brass cases. Kleanbore primers. Temperature-stable propellant, which delivers steady results whether it’s warm or cold outside. Remington quality, for a great price.
