When the biggest bucks somehow materialize out of nowhere you better be ready to make the most of it. Remingtons buckshot lets you shoot with the confidence once possible only with a rifle. The reasons for choosing Remington are numerous. Some say its unbeatable value. Regardless of the reason, we remain unwavering in our sprit of a legendary brand. One of the great values in shotgun deer loads. A combination of heavy cushioning behind the shot column and a granulated polymer buffering helps maintain pellet roundness for tight, even patterns.

I cut one shell open. It has fillings but no shot cup. The pellets are not very round. They can barely roll when I push them on a flat surface, but they are good enough for home defense. The first round in the tube magazine will have its crimp caved in a little bit, so I load a Winchester 00 buck as the first round, then load these after that.

Standard buckshot like th
Standard buckshot like the shotshell industry has made for at least 50 years. Pattern out of my Hawk 982 w/ improved cylinder choke was ~12 inches at 40'. Wide pattern compared to nickel or copper plated buckshot. Recoil is pretty heavy for a 2.75' shell. #1 buckshot seems to be great compromise between pellet count and penetration though.

This ammo works great in
This ammo works great in my old 12ga Browning Auto-5 with 26' IC. Very deadly pattern out to 10-15 yards and no jams with the 50 rounds I test fired. Five of these out of my Browning in about two to three seconds is a lot of knockdown power!

#1 buck is really hard to find. I fired over 40 rds of these this month while comparing to Rem 9 pel 00 buck. It has noticably more lead weight with slightly more felt recoil. From an 18.5' Benelli Nova, it gave about 1/2' wider shot pattern at 5 yds @ 1270-1290fps, but with 7 more holes! Upon further research, I read that you can expect 30% more wound trauma compared to 00B, with less chance of over penetration. I would recommend both rounds, but I keep #1B loaded for HD.
