We don’t have the official numbers right in front of us. That said, Remington Core-Lokt is quite possibly the most popular line of deer hunting ammo in history. If you’d like to understand why that is – or you’re already a great fan of Big Green’s best – then we’ve got just the flat of 243 Win ammo in store for you!

This cartridge’s 100 grain Core-Lokt projectile is a ballistically efficient pointed soft point. At .356, the PSP’s G1 ballistic coefficient enables it to hit 150 yards with just shy of 1,500 ft lbs kinetic energy. If you were aiming to that distance through a 2” high scope (and your rifle has the 24” barrel Remington used to capture the round’s advertised 2,960 fps muzzle velocity), then the bullet would drop around -5.1” at 250 yards.

The Core-Lokt bullet doesn’t just feature the locked-together core and jacket it needs in order to exhibit reliably deep penetration. Its exposed lead tip easily delivers 2X expansion, so you can put your quarry down quick and humanely. All you have to do is aim well!
