My Savage 210 loves these slugs
I bought a Savage 210 to finally have a respectable deer season weapon (and didn't want to spend as much as the Browning). Anyway, I tried a number of slugs from all the popular slugs and eventually tried these. Three in a 3" grouping at 100 yards is good enough for this much lead. Pros: They are very accurate and deadly Cons: They are not stocked everywhere

Core-Lokt Ultra & AccuTip
Core-Lokt Ultra & AccuTipI have dropped over 5 deer and none of them made it past 80 yards after I pulled the trigger. The accuracy was so outstanding that I then started shooting woodchucks with the Core-Lokt Ultra 385Grain years ago. I did put a bi-pod on my 12 gauge and a 9 power scope. These rounds are hot at range.I then picked up these AccuTipuFFFDs because they are built on the Core-Lokt Ultra base.Trust the video that you see on the Remington Site. You can put the bullet hole for hole. Wow!! Then I tested them at 100 yards on cardboard. The woodchuck test scored a flying success, and the critter was past 130 yards.

I bought this slug to be
I bought this slug to be fired out of a Mossberg 695 bolt action slug gun. The slug did very well when sighting the in key holed 3 rounds at 100 yards. I took the gun out for deer season and had a coyote come up 70 yards away and when I attempted to shoot the coyote the slug misfired. I made 2 attempts to fire the slug and both times misfired. I looked at the slug and it had indentions on the primer but not very deep, thinking it was the gun I test fired 3 more slugs and all 3 fired. It just so happens the slug failed at the moment of truth; luckily my buddy I was hunting with was able to drop the coyote. However later on that day I shot another coyote at 20 yards and a deer at sunset 150 yards away with this slug. This is not the first time IuFFFDve had misfires with Remington slugs. Over all the slug does have great knockdown power.

I love the accuracy...whe
I love the accuracy...when they fire. Put thirty rounds through my gun and four misfires. The misfires showed signs of poor firing pin penetration on the primer. Thinking that it was my gun, I went to the gunsmith who pulled the bolt on my gun and gave everything a complete work over. Test fired afterward with Federal, Brenneke and Winchester with no problems. Remington? More misfires. Called Remington and they said they are having problems with 'hard primers'. They provided a means for returning the ammo to them.
