Most aftermarket adjustable guide rods get loose over time thanks to them using a screw to retain the spring, not this guide rod from Radian. Instead, it uses a dovetail style spring capture system. To change the weight, just compress the spring with the included tool, remove the dovetailed end cap and slowly release the spring. Then do the steps in reverse and slide the endcap back in for a secure lockup that won't get loose.
