This cartridge’s 150 grain full metal jacket projectile hits 2,749 fps muzzle velocity out of a 24” test barrel. That’s slower than a higher-pressure commercial hunting load, which is the whole point: The round’s lighter chamber pressure is intended to preserve an M1 Garand’s sensitive operating rod. (The FMJ is fully nonmagnetic.)

This round’s G1 BC is an even .400. With 1.5” sight height and 200-yard zero, drop at 300 yards equals -8.50 (by our math, at least; actual performance will vary).
