Year after year, ProMag has increasingly become one of the leading manufacturers of firearms magazines in the world. Gun enthusiasts and law enforcement personnel have agreed, be it for recreational "plinking", competition shooting, or law enforcement, Promag is the source you can count on.

This is a Promag 22 round magazine for the UZI .45 ACP pistol, for those situations where more is definitely better. This M&P magazine is constructed from blued-steel that has been heat-treated. ProMag uses a spring wound from heat-treated chrome-silicon wire for strength and reliability that won't lose its tension no matter how long the magazine is left loaded. DuPont's Zytel polymer; a material both lightweight and heat-resistant enough for use in car engines; makes up the follower, lock plate and base plate of the magazine.

Good quality, but not suited for .41 AE
Some back story, the Uzi was offered in 9mm, 45 ACP, and a weird caliber called .41 AE. 9MM is tapered, but 45/41 are straight walled. Historical photos show several .41 AE magazines that were over stamped, but closer inspection shows the .41 AE magazines were also ribbed top to bottom, and not just at the top like these. Without the lower section being ribbed the .41 AE rounds jam up where the ribs stop. Will load, and unload all 22 rounds of .45 by hand though. Very smooth. The magazine itself is fine quality, good sturdy metal and inserts/locks as expected, but the use case for a .41 Uzi requires body modifications to original pattern .45 ACP magazines. Going to grab some 10 round ones (UZI-02, also from Pro-mag) since the top/ribbed part works great.

I was eager to get these
I was eager to get these magazines, as the originals price around $200.00. The bluing looked nice and the floor plates looked solid, and I believe these take the safe plastic follower as the ProMag 10 round model. ProMag fixed their mag catch problem on these from the earlier released 10 round model. No fancy emblem on the side of these, but that is OK. The two magazines I received took a considerable amount of effort to seat. They were extremely difficult to remove from the gun. I tested these magazines in two guns and found them to be unusable. Cheaper Than Dirt provided me with a return tag and refunded me promptly.
