By our measure, this magazine tips the scales at a mere 1.64 pounds empty. That means it weighs 2.01 pounds fully loaded with 40 grain ammo!
Zytel isn’t good for making every component of a magazine, of course. ProMag outfitted this drum with a heat-treated stainless steel spring. It might be a little stiff the first time you top it off with 52 rounds, but that’s nothing a little usage won’t remedy.
