Shape Is Not Quite Right
I purchased the ProMag S&W 59 Series Magazine for a Marlin Camp Carbine 9. I have the Marlin magazine that ships with the rifle plus a compatible magazine from Mec-Gar. The Mec-Gar magazine fits better than the ProMag one. The top part of the ProMag magazine is shaped incorrectly. It is more difficult to load with cartridges. It also fits loosely in the rifle and does not always engage the hold-open on an empty magazine.

Tight in mag well- won't release without a tug
These would earn 5-stars if they just made them to better tolerances .. a looser fit. They work just fine, they feed rounds properly, they do everything except release when you hit your mage release button. They stick in the mag well, so the only way to get them out of your pistol on an empty mag is by hitting the mag release button while using your off hand at the same time. Not exactly a good thing. No big deal at the range, but in a firefight - you're doomed. So be aware.

I purchased two of these
I purchased two of these for my Marlin Camp 9 and did not have a single issue with them. Loaded and fed perfectly. Now that these are back in stock, I just ordered 3 more. These worked just as good as the stock mag and Mec-Gar ones I own.

Bought 4 of these for as
Bought 4 of these for as S&W 5906 which has a magazine disconnect. This is a DA/SA pistol. With an odd number of rounds in the mag the pistol would not fire in DA mode, yet it worked fine with an odd number of rounds or in SA mode. (?????) All 4 mags had this problem. I also experienced stovepipes consistently about halfway through the mags. A thorough cleaning of the firearm made no difference. Note that with S&W factory mags this pistol is flawless. So for competition or self defense I would not use this product and will be returning them.
