Gun enthusiasts and law enforcement personnel have continued to rely on Promag year after year. In fact, ProMag is one of the leading manufacturers of handgun magazines in the world. What's more, when it comes to selection, they carry magazines to fit most popular models - foreign and domestic. Only the finest polymers & high carbon heat treated steel go into their magazine bodies. Those made of steel are then tig welded for strength. The springs are precision wound using heat treated chrome silicon wire. Bases & followers are injection molded from polymers selected for their durability. jams, fell apart
I only put 10 rounds through it. Period. Half Russian and half US ammo. The only successful loads were racking the bolt by hand. All auto-feeds threw the next round after the ejected round. Two cases hit the air. Then, while in storage, the bottom fell off.

Just got back from the range and shot 40 rounds of Barnes triple shock without a problem. Didn't hurt to just try one, will buy more.

After reading negative reviews about this magazine, I decided to buy one anyways. (Not much choice if you want more than 5 rd. capacity.) I fired 40 rounds SSA 6.8 and had no misfeeds or issues loading the mag into gun. Only problem I had all day was on one round the bolt did not go forward all the way, easily fixed. I did fire 20 rounds with the factory mag and it does seem to slip in a bit easier. I will probably buy more.

I bought five of these magazines for my Ruger Mini 6.8. None would smoothly snap into the magazine well like the factory magazine. All five magazines misfed and jammed in one way or another when while cycling rounds through the action. Several of these magazines would not release from the magazine well and the trigger assembly had to be removed to release the magazine. These need some further design work.
