loaded one up 3 -4 years ago, went out couple weeks ago and emptied the drum without a hitch. the balance in the Hi-Point carbine is the best... what you want when you really need to send a lot down range

HJi-Point 40 round Drum
Worked as advertised except I was unable load more than 37 rounds. The loading process is difficult as the reloader tool is not strong enough to overcome the spring in the unit and two people are required to load effectively, one turning the spring handle and the other loading the rounds.No feeding problems occurred and unit functioned properly

Best thing since sliced bread
Who couldn’t use a 40 round magazine on the range. While I’m smiling and firing everyone down the line is loading. Only 1 jam in 3 cycles. I can live with that.

Hi Point 45 cal Drum
Mag was very tight fit and had to force it in. I loaded 12 rounds and cycled the action. Several rounds got hung up and did not feed. rounds nosed into feed ramp and did not feed into chamber. I was using hollow point ammo and that may have been an issue. FMJ ammo may feed better. Mag does fit Hi-Point 4595 but mine had some issues. I plan to lightly sand mag and reblue to fix the fitting issue. I think an ammo change may fix feeding issue.

The magazine appears well built and loaded easily, however it will not seat and useless without modification, at least in my case. :(
