Good mags but picky on the ammo
Mags fit well feed properly but I have found issues with different round being just a hair to long to fit the pro mag. Factory mags load fine with the round but jam in the pro mag

just ok
It's okay. Wouldn't carry it for defensive purpose though, fine for the range. It feeds practice ammo just fine, but doesn't hold open on the last round correctly, that's hit or miss. With the Norma MHP defensive ammo though it consistently jams. Comparing the two types of bullets, it appears it feeds correctly the shorter practice ammo but the slightly longer Norma ammo causes a jam.YMMV. I've had other Promag products that are just as hit or miss unfortunately.

A Moderate Replacement for OEM
It's Okay. I have three complaints when comparing it to the actual Bersa mags. 1. The finish is terrible, it lacks that beautiful glossy finish of the OEM mags. 2. It only holds 7 instead of 8. 3. These mags have issues locking the upper assembly back when the last round is ejected, unlike the OEM mags. Other than that, they are okay.

The first time I used this mag it seized up the weapon after the last round. I was unable to close the slide or eject the magazine until I got the weapon home to my work bench. The Bersa has always performed flawlessly with the manufacturer magazine.

Worth it but you might have to show it some love
Decent magazine, inserts and releases just like the original one. The follower had some kind of texture on it that was preventing it from either feeding the last round or activating the slide stop after the last round was ejected. I polished the surfaces that come in contact with the inside of the magazine. I used some Novus Plastic polish #2 and now it seems to work perfectly.Disassembly of both my original mag and this one show that the legs on the follower are about half as long as the original one. I suspect that this contributed to the shenanigans I originally experienced. If it weren't for me having to take the texture down I'd have given it 5 stars.

Mags looked good but hard to load!
Upon opening mags are as stated, however, they are the hardest to load! After the 2nd. to 3rd. rounds, it's increasingly difficult and harder each round going it. I contacted Promag and I told them maybe it's the newness of the springs and would have to put a few round down range, about 50, to see if the mags loosen up. They did say it sounded like it was a bad batch and they would replace them if necessary.

Awful product - 1/10/2018
I read the reviews and figured I'd give this a chance. The recent reviews seemed better than the older ones. Bottom line is do not buy this product. I purchased 2 clips and the first one fired the first 4 then jammed. I reloaded and it jammed after 5 shots. So I unloaded that clip and tried the 2nd one. I could not even load the first bullet. I do not know why CheaperThanDirt even offers these clips for sale. Cons: Doesn't insert/eject smoothly.

Bought one of these to go
Bought one of these to go along with a duo tone Bersa Thunder .380 for my wife. Magazine fits and functions fine. We are able to fit 8 rounds in this magazine and all will feed and shoot without issue if fired at a slow to moderate pace. If attempting a rapid fire sequence when loaded with 8 rounds last round will stovepipe every time. Simple solution is just to slow down and take your time. Have read other reviews that stated disassemble and cleaning the mag will alleviate this so I'll give it a try. Overall a nice mag for the range but would use OEM mag for carry purposes.

I read all the bad reviews on the promags for the bersas... I never had a jam on this magazine. I bought this mag before ever firing the gun and never had a problem with it when i went to the range. Before I went I sanded each contact point of the magazine follower and never once had a jam... I read all the bad reviews and thought i could outsmart them, and i like to think i did.... this mag never jammed after sanding the burrs out and polishing the follower.... for a bit of work you can save some money with the promags.

This is the second set of
This is the second set of ProMag brand magazines for my Bersa Thunder .380. I bought two others last year. I researched the brand (Pro Mag) especially for the Bersa Thunder .380 I have for concealed carry. They are 'QUALITY, MADE IN THE USA,' and perform like any American product we expect. It was the first set that caused me to buy another set of two mags. The spring will be a little tight at first and that 7th bullet is hard at first to get in. But after a few times works well. I don't keep all my mags loaded. This only compresses the spring in the mag like a P/U truck overloaded. Then when I get to the last couple of rounds, my gun jams. Every weekend I rotate my mags and this allows a week for the other mag springs to recover from being compressed. Practice this and it will stop most jams.

When I got this I immediately took it to the range and ran 100 rounds through my Bersa Thunder .380, and consistently, the last round in the magazine would fail to feed into the chamber. Slightly discouraged, I took the magazines home, and opened them up for cleaning. Much to my surprise, there was a ton of gunk on the spring and inside the magazine. After the good cleaning, 250 rounds went without issue, all feeding just fine!

My wife and I ordered 6 extra mags (3 each) for our Bersa Thunders. At the range during home defense training the mags get passed around randomly by our trainer with one round, 3 rounds or fully loaded to practice quick mag changes. Hers, mine and ours. Two guns and eight magazines, never can tell which is the original manufacturer's and which is the after-market. None of them have skipped or missed a load even after several practice sessions of dropping in the range dirt (cleaned afterward of course). I like things that work.

I have noticed some revie
I have noticed some reviewers complain about a weak spring. Not sure if Promag had a bad batch of springs but the ones I got are stronger than the Original Bersa mags. I got one about 8 months ago to put it through it's paces. It has had about 500 round through it, it has performed flawlessly. Left rds to check for a spring getting weaker, not at all. The spring is much stronger than the original Bersa mag. The fit is as good if not better than a Bersa Mag. I know some here say they have had some issues with fit. The first one had no issues at all, I just got 2 more of these mags and they are also as good as the first mag. All the mags fit perfectly and perform as good as if not better than Bersa mags. The best bang for the buck out there. I got 2 of these for the same price as 1 Bersa mag.Thank you CTD

If you are ordering this
If you are ordering this you probably already know your Bersa is a good little firearm, and that the factory magazines are expensive. I ordered 2 in March 2011 for use in a Thunder 380 duotone, and have used them for practice to the tune of running around 150 rounds through each. I trust them as much as the factory mag, with no problems out of either. I used a Dremel cutting wheel recently to cut the pinky-extension portion of the magazine off, and then sanded it flat with sand paper and coated it with a single layer or Krylon flat black paint to cover what little visual roughness remained in the plastic. I have ended up really liking the removal of the pinky extension for carrying purposes, it keeps the pinky ext from 'pointing' underneath tshirts, improving overall conceal by a worthwhile factor.

These function well in my wife's Bersa 380 except that, occasionally, they will fail to lock the slide open after the last cartridge has been fired. The original Bersa magazine does not have this issue. The lip on the Pro Mag follower that is supposed to engage the slide lock when the mag is empty seems to be 'off' just enough to create a problem.

Wanted to report that I ended up buying a second mag for my Bersa Thunder 380 and guess what. Yep- this one is perfect too! The only grip I have might be that really this seems capable of holding 8 rounds, that would be beyond awesome. But still the quality remains top notch. I fired 50 rounds from each promag magazine just this afternoon and not one misfeed or stovepipe. They feed just right and the mag pops right out for me to reload a new mag. These are a deal! I would like to have more but maybe more than three is nutty.

Around May of 2010 I purchased one of these mags for my brand new unfired Bersa Thunder 380. Despite reading horror stories about people slamming, filing, or in some painful way altering these mags to get them to cooperate with their bersa. Now when I received this mag (good note came quite quickly) I placed it in my guun and it did not go in all the way after tinkering with it I found the only way to make it fit was by holding the mag release down. I then began trying slamming it and the mag actually broke and the spring shot accross the room! I think I will try ordeiring another one now. It seems people are now giving positive feedback. Maybe the design changed?

I bought four of these mags for a new to me but very used Bersa Thunder .380. The new mags and the original Bersa mag have all worked flawlessly in two range trips with 200 rounds total fired thru all five mags. The springs are stiffer than the original, which makes them slightly harder to load, but not much. The mags need a little extra pressure to activate the mag catch but I only notice this at home when I was seeing if they fit well. It is not something I notice at all on the range. I highly recommend these mags.

Bought one of these to ad
Bought one of these to add an extra for my Bersa Thunder 380. Note the difference between this mag which has a rest for the pinky which keeps my entire hand on the gun, and I have big hands. The CC version fits the Thunder 380 but the flat bottom is a deal breaker. So I loaded this mag with Winchester flat .380 rounds and tested release from the well with a loaded clip. It sprang out as expected. I then loaded some snapcaps intot he mag and dry fired (with manual eject) and they all fed through without a hitch. I imagine if you get stovepipes your casing is flawed or you need to get a little oil in there. With brass and nickel this mag was properly feeding rounds. Not a single jam. Get them while the price is where its at!!

Upon reading the reviews
Upon reading the reviews I was hesitant to order this for the brand new Bersa Thunder 380 that I purchased in October but after taking it to the range this week, I can say that I had no issues with FTF or FTE with an entire box of ammunition for this one magazine. No extra recoil or action required during shooting. The only thing that was a bit off about this magazine was the fit. Initially it does not seat into the weapon as easily as the factory mag but after some oil and repeated motion it eased up a bit. As for the mag eject it slides out easier than the factory mag. I'm ordering another one of these this week. I highly recommend this mag for the price.

If u have an older model 383A this Mag is for you. I have an older series 380 Bersa 383A and these Mag's worked perfectly right out of the box. They seemed to fit better than the Mag that came with the gun. I bought one from Cabelas that I have to take back would not fit in my gun payed $37 for it. Thanks!

I bought 2 of these for my Thunder 380. They look, work, and operate identically to the factory mag. No malfunctions on all ammo. No break-in or 'slamming' was necessary as stated in other reviews. If there were any problems, they seemed to have fixed them. Lifetime warranty, so you can't lose. Great Buy! Thanks, CTD.

I got this mag two days after I ordered it. Even after selecting regular ground shipping. I have not had any of the issues some others have had with this mag. I took it right out of the package and it was a perfect fit for my little Thunder 380 CC. I even had it at the range recently with no issues. I would give it 5 bullets, but due to the issues some others have had I may have just gotten lucky and received a good one.

I ordered two of magazines. I had read the reviews, and sure enough the magazines would stop about an inch from being fully inserted. I then decided to use the method described in a few of the reviews, and slap the heck out of the magazine. It worked well on both of them; I slapped them in and ejected them about 20 times each. I have literally put hundreds of rounds through these mags and have had no more problems then with the factory mag. I only gave them 4 stars because, if I hadn't read the reviews I probably would have had a different experience with this product.

I bought 2 if these since most recent reviews indicated ProMag had fixed the issues with earlier versions. At less than half the price of factory Bersa mags, they were worth a try. They looked virtually identical when compared to the factory mag. I took them to the range and put 70 rounds through my Bersa 380 with no issues. I couldn't tell any difference in performance between the ProMags and the Bersa mag. Good product - great price.

It seems like all of the problems with these magazines have been solved by Promag. I purchased two of these mags for the price of one factory mag. I haven't had to do anything to them...no filing clipping, banging, nothing. I have put more than 50 rounds through them, and haven't had any problems. The only thing that I have noticed is that the magazine release button is harder to press in with the Promag than with the factory mag. I imagine that it will get easier with use. Good mag, great price, highly recommended!

All of my tools, the Dremel, files, tin snips, and chain saw were ready to alter the magazines to fit my Bersa Thunder 380. I was surprized to find that they both clicked in perfectly just like the Bersa factory mag. I loaded 3 rounds in each and test fired both. Perfectly functional! Thanks CTD! Don't freak out if you can't get these mags to work out of the box. These mags will work! Place the mag as far in as you can, and press mag release button, while pushing mag all the way in. Then release the mag slightly, and then push it back in. Repeat this a few times, and then drop the mag all the way out, and push it all the way back in. Also, there is a slight difference in mag weight compared to the factory Bersa mag, but other than that they are good spare mags.

Yes I got the same deal. I looked at the mag, the 380 came with and saw that the right side. If you install the mag in the gun and pointing it away from you the right side does not have the same notch as the left. So I got tin snips and snipped it square like the left side. I purchased just one of these to see what the big problem is. The only problem I found was that you have to press your magazine release button on your Bersa before you insert the mag, otherwise it won't go. Others have said that they have just filed down one side of the mag to fix the problem. So for the price, and if you don't mind the 5 min job to make it work like oem, then get one. To me, I just wonder if it might void the lifetime warranty so I'm going to just press the magazine release button everytime to insert the mag, not that big of a deal.

Contacted ProMag by eMail and they replied that they were aware of the issue. Instructed me to insert the magazine until it stops against the release and slap the magazine in a few times without pressing the release button and it would 'fit' itself to the gun! Said as long as it inserted OK by depressing the release there would be no damage to either the gun or the magazine by doing this. Well I tried it (with reservations) and it worked! The magazine now inserts and releases as good as the factory mag. No problems in use either.

After reading the reviews
After reading the reviews I was a bit perplexed as to whether to purchase these magazines but being the cheap redneck I am I bought two for my Bersa Thunder 380 DLX. There was no way I was going to spend much money on a $250 gun. When the clips arrived I was quite suprised to find the build quality as good as the factory mag that came with the gun. I carefully compared the original mag with these promags and saw no major differences. I used a micrometer on all the dimensions and they were the same as the original. When I placed the magazine into the magwell it stopped about an inch from latching. I did what every red blooded redneck would do in this situation and slapped the mag home with the palm of my hand. I did this about 20 - 30 times with each mag and now they work as nicely as the original mag. The bullets feed just fine and I have had no further problems. Be careful that the magazine block or bottom plate does not come off. The plastic retaining pin that holds it in place is not completely engaged and needs to be checked prior to using the redneck method of making these mags fit the gun. Check it again when you are done and everything should be just dandy for many hours of enjoyable shooting.

this magazine would not fit into the mag well of my wife's Thunder .380. After comparing it to the OEM mag, could see that the notch at the front right needs to be ground down. After 5 minutes with a dremel & grindstone it would insert into the pistol without depressing the mag release, but it did so roughly. Metal of new leading edge was thicker than OEM, so a few quick passes with a small fine file and it is knife sharp. Now it slides just as smoothly as the OEM mag into the pistol. Haven't live fired it yet, but have manually cycled through this mag 5 or 6 times and it has yet to jam. Feeds just as well as the original. Great piece of gear, just needs some TLC from PRO-MAG (which is not uncommon with that company's products). I will buy more of these. 5 minutes of work on my end is worth the money savings.

I called this a 'kit' since it requires modification before it will insert properly. This seems to be a well known problem and it is easy to see what needs modified by comparing the ProMag with the factory mag. Why ProMag doesn't fix this is beyond me! A couple of minutes under my vertical mill duplicated the factory design. A small file and a little patience will do the same for those without machinery. The spring is a bit weaker than the factory mag, but they work just the same. They are worth the savings to me, but it's your choice.
