Milled receivers are manufactured from a solid block of steel and the internals of the receiver are carved from the steel. Whereas, stamped receivers are constructed using a piece of sheet metal that is literally stamped into the shape of the receiver.

On my AK-47 the receiver extends allowing for a second screw to attach to the butt of the gun. This extension slides underneath the cheek guard making it inaccessible. Is there a way to remove the pre-installed cheek guard? Does it require the second screw? Thanks.

The instructions and the video indicate that you must disassemble the buttstock and remove the cheek riser to install the stock in the gun and that you use both the included stock screws.
