Small to Medium Frame Auto Handguns for sure...
I purchased this specifically for my Taurus PT-111 G2; however, it does not fit (see photos). On the other hand, it fits my Kel-Tec P11 perfectly, a handgun I classify in the small to medium frame category. The price is right, so no complaint there, but as I don't carry the Kel-Tec, and now have to shop some more, I can only give it three stars....... I'll say Yes, I'd recommend it to a friend, but with a suggestion that they find one and try it first to be sure it'll fit their weapon.

Recently recieved this ho
Recently recieved this holster from Cheaper than dirt. So far, so good. It is made of thick leather and heavy stitching, making it look like it will last for a long time. The decription says 'fits medium to large frame guns but, I find it works well with every simi-auto I own from my little Taursus TCP .380 to my full size EAA Witness.

This is truly versatile and fits a number of different guns of mine well. I thought it would be a cheaper quality when I ordered it, but it has held up well so far. It isn't pretty or molded, it just does what it's supposed to do and it doesn't break the bank.

Just got this in right after my Concealed Carry class, where the instructor recommended we wear our weapon of choice as often as possible and practice quick draw from our desired carry option. I've tried this from both inside and outside my pants, and it works great with my Ruger .40 S&W. Naturally tilts forward with my sidearm, which I prefer. Inexpensive and works just fine. Had to put some of my saddle oil on it to limber up the leather and work it some to make a secure but not too tight fit.

I have had my share of inexpensive universal holsters... this is the most versitile and universal one yet. Also it appears to be very well made for the price and I can tell I will have this for several years at least. So far i have used it for a Sig p6, Bersa thunder 380, cz82, and RIA GI 1911 just to see how universal it is and it performed vey well with each pistol. I plan on this being my primary 1911 CC holster so I will just keep that one in there from now on so it can begin molding to the shape a little as it breaks in. I really doubt there is a leather holster of the same price that coould compare to this one.

The ambidextrous capabili
The ambidextrous capabilities of this holster are so useful. I daily carry a Glock 17L, and sometimes I carry it at 4:00 with the grip forward (which requires a left-handed holster), but I also occasionally need the concealability of Appendix Carry with the grip point to the right (which requires a right-handed holster). With this, I can have one holster to do it all, and if I am somewhere concealing on the hip under a jacket and it gets hot, I can easily move the holster up front, re-insert the weapon in the opposite orientation, and conceal under my regular shirt. It is stiff and does a notably better job at keeping it flat to my body than the softer nylon IWB holsters (which I have used a lot over the last couple years and they are indeed functional). This stiffness and the slightly better retention over the soft nylon holsters means I can get away with one notch looser on my belt, which makes a big difference in comfort when Appendix Carrying. However, I recently went on a 4-mile mountain bike ride--jumps and bumps and all--and never once did I even think about the gun moving. I needed a holster that can be easily put on or removed, and that is pretty inconspicuous if I wear it without the gun, and this holster accomplishes these well. Some people like stiff, open-top holsters that allow one-handed re-holstering. It can be a nice feature, but I will never get so (over)confident that I casually re-holster one-handed and without looking. Besides, if it were rigidly open, it would lose some of the stealthiness I mentioned above. In short, this holster does everything I could ask for in a single holster, and does it well enough that I probably won't buy another holster for a long time. That it is also such a great value is only icing on the cake. I love CTD!

First, the disclaimer--I'm not a holster connossieur. Undoubtedly there are better holsters out there, but for affordability, versatility, and concealability, this is my favorite so far. Unlike others I've shopped for, you don't have to know exactly how you want to wear it before you decide to buy. The sheer versatility means that you'll more than likely find a comfortable, concealable position to belt or clip this holster. It fits both my Taurus PT-709 and Taurus 24/7 OSS like a glove. Belt slots on front and back, and a low-profile (and removable) clip mean you can basically wear this any way you want. Admittedly, the clip could be stronger, but so far the holster has stayed put every time I've drawn either gun, even clipped (not belted) OWB. Wearing it IWB, the clip and friction keep it very secure. My favorite position for it so far is clipped IWB in the small of my back. It even holds my 5' barreled 24/7 snug enough that the grip doesn't sag away from my body--basically, it keeps a pretty big gun concealed much, much better than i expected. It also performs well on the belt, either outside the belt or between belt and pants; the super-low profile keeps the gun snugged up close, easily concealable with a medium length jacket. In light of the affordability of this little holster, I would definitely get another, and recommend it my friends.
