Upgrade your rifle with the Patriot Ordnance Factory 6 Position Buffer Tube. POF's Mil-Spec 7075-T6 aircraft aluminum Anti-tilt Buffer Tube uses "carrier cradle" extensions to ensure that the carrier is always supported by the buffer tube, even when the bolt is forward. This prevents carrier-tilt and premature wear on the buffer tube. Thusly, the buffer-detent button doubles as a lock that stops the buffer tube from rotating and becoming loose under extreme operation conditions. POF's desiging also features three extra drain holes for marine environments.

Excellent receiver extension for piston AR 15's
When installing a piston system on an AR 15 you might need to be aware of the potential for carrier tilt. Since the piston pushes the top of the bolt carrier it is possible that the rear of the carrier can tilt down slightly, impacting the bottom of your buffer tube, scraping it. This can lead to damage to your buffer tube or the threading of your lower receiver. This tube extends slightly inward, cupping the base of your bolt carrier. The added expense of this buffer tube upgrade is nothing considering the peace of mind that you will avoid damage. As usual, the machining and finish of POF products is excellent.

Will this work for an ar15 that takes 556?

Is this a Carbine length buffer tube? Will it work with Geissele Super 42 Wire and buffer? I assume the P.O.F 7 position buffer tube is longer?

This receiver extension will work with the Geissele Super 42 Braided Wire Buffer Spring and Buffer Combo. The POF 7 position tube is longer and will not work for 5.56 size platforms without spacers or an A5-length spring and buffer.
