This shell throws nine pieces of double-aught at its target, *fast*. Its 1,350 fps muzzle velocity gives the lead balls plenty of punch, and said balls possess the high-antimony content they need in order to stay spherical during ignition, impact and penetration.

That same high muzzle velocity also generates the chamber pressure (3-3/4 dram equivalent) a semi-automatic needs in order to operate as its manufacturer intended. Magazine-fed and other types of shotguns also perform reliably thanks to these rounds’ high steel heads, strong fluted hulls, and slightly tapered noses.
