The Ultra Light Tactical (ULT) upper assembly kit takes a licking and keeps on ticking. Its aircraft grade aluminum 83,000 psi rated receiver, 8620 alloy bolt, and steel barrel are all melanite finished for added protection and glare reduction (muzzle brake, buffer and screws are also steel). All parts are precision machined to tight (i.e. ±0.002”) tolerances.

This dependable assembly does not have a gas system, and therefore does not have a gas system that can get clogged or otherwise gummed up with fouling. Its free-sliding bolt is its only moving part, and is easy to remove to facilitate maintenance. The upper’s unique design loads from the top and ejects spent brass through the lower’s mag well.
