Great customer service on a less than great product.
There was a problem with the shipping which CTD rectified immediately, even updating the shipping to second day air when they didn't need to do so. Unfortunately, the grip does not properly secure to the weapon because the area in the grip where the screw head seats on it doesn't have a metal piece to work against. That allows the screw to keep going when you think it is tightening, even to the point of threads protruding out the left side of the grip. If you back the screw off to keep that from happening, the grip is loose on the weapon. Useless for my shooting, OK, I suppose for looks.

This grip makes shooting
This grip makes shooting my S&W .357 magnum revolver Model 13 w/4' barrel even better. The stock wood grips are just too small and slippery, especially when using .357 magnum loads (I usually shoot 38 Specials at the range) This grip is significantly larger and has a nice rubbery stickiness, greatly improving control. Also, there is enough clearance to allow the use of speed loaders.

This grip is awesome, it gives me a better hold on the revolver all around and doesn't change the look so much as to make it look like something other than a single action revolver. If you have a Ruger Blackhawk and are less than pleased with the thin plastic grips, this is the grip to buy.

Will these fit an old Model Ruger Vaquero 44 magnum?
Answer:
As long as it's not the Bisley model they it should fit, but we can't guarantee it. Pachmayr does not list a fitment for the old model Vaquero.
