Not for the 45.
I thought this would be a nice addition to my XD Mod 2 mags, so I bought two packages. These match the grips on the XD much better than the Pearce Grip (PG-XD45+) and are less expensive. Service from CTD was fast. Unfortunately they did not fit. Neither the spring will go into the retainer and the extension is too narrow for the magazine. The package does say XD Mod.2 and mentions the 9mm & 40 cal, but does not mention the 45. It is a shame because they do look better than the Pearce, but from what I can see, this style is not made for the 45. I would recommend this just not to a 45 user.

Yes, it'll fit the XD Mod.2 .40 S&W mag body, but I would expect that it'll will only add +1 (not +2) rounds in .40 Smith & Wesson.

You would need basepads for the XD .40, try the ProMag Springfield XD-9/XD-40 Magazine Extension, item # GNS-428-022
