Ontario Knife builds this M9 bayonet to exacting government specifications officially adopted in 1986. Loosely based on the Russian AKM Type I bayonet, the M9 is more refined and widely popular today. It is still issued today by the US armed forces.
NOTE: The M9 will not affix properly to a civilian AR-15 with a 16" barrel, because the barrel is too long. It is designed for the 14" barrel on the M4 carbine.
