Designed for the treatment and management of open and, or tension pneumothorax caused by a penetrating trauma, the HyFin Individual Vent Chest Seal uses advanced adhesive technology for application in austere environments where a casualty may be covered in blood, sweat, body hair, or other contaminants. This innovative device provides 3-vented channels that are designed to prevent airflow into the chest cavity during inhalation while allowing air to escape through the vent channels during exhalation. The 3-vent channels are designed to allow blood to escape and also provide a backup fail-safe system, even if two of the three channels become obstructed, the vent is designed to remain fully operational.

Featuring a 6" x 6" size, the transparent design allows for accurate placement directly over the wound, easily conforming to the casualty's chest. A large, easily-visible red elliptical tab facilitating single step peel-and-adhere application is incorporated into the HyFin Vent Chest Seal design. Made in America and 100% latex free, each chest seal is packaged using signature Red Tip Technology red tear notches in a rugged, easy-to-open, foil pouch to ensure high quality performance.
