The BDC reticle lets you be ready for shoots that may not need any adjustments to your scope. The BDC will allow you the proper hold over to your target with only the correct distance spot and wind as concerns. Once you're set the spring loaded turrets that will hold up to heavy recoil and hold the zero but have positive adjustment with .25 MOA clicks and since you need to be able to see your target to hit it the fully coated lenses will allow improved dawn to dusk performance from upgrade light transmission.
