Well built
Quality item for a good price. The seal looks well designed but time underground will tell the story. Built sturdy and holds a fair amount.

Quality for low price
Made well and can't beat the price. Seal appears waterproof. Of course no one knows until it's dug up after some time. I'm pleased with the construction and amount of items it can hold.

Good Quality Item, good seal, May I recommend an excellent dessicant( moisture remover)? Try Mimi Litter, Silica Gel cat litter(purple bag) available at everywhere for next to nothing. This is the moisture magnet stuff that you see in those little packets that come with TV's,DVD players, electronics that removes moisture to protect the items...Just fill a nylon, or thin sock w/ 1 or 2 cups and you're good!

This product is as solid
This product is as solid as they can come. It has a great outer lid to cover and protect the original screw down lid. (both lids are the same material)

This will likely do what
This will likely do what it says it will do, but there are a lot of caveats once you bust it out of the box and read the instructions. For my money, I'll buy PVC pipe and seal the ends. It would take less hassle getting contents out if ever the need arises to go to buried stock.

Time will tell how well this keeps out the elements but it appears to have sealed very well. I added desiccant in thick tape-sealed bags for ammo and each item that went in.

This is a very impressive
This is a very impressive little vault. They have thought of pretty much everything when they made this. Allows your to keep a good amount of anything hidden and safe under ground. Would be great if they made a larger one to store longer guns under ground also.

How much ammo you can fit in this conternal?
Answer: This canister is capable of holding 600 rounds of .45 ACP.
Is it sealed tight waterproof?
Answer: Yes. Per the written description: Double "O" Ring Sealed Main Lid
Is it lockable? Seems like a necessary feature if you're going to leave a handgun there as described.
Answer: No. This is meant to be hidden and buried.
Is this product designed to be completely buried or is a part of it left above ground? The photo in the product description looks as though part of it remains above ground? How deep can it be buried?
Answer: You can bury it either way.
All righty then...most people assume it's for vertical burial after you posthole your brains out right? If so, then how deep in this SW Ohio territory? Below frost line? ALSO, could it buried horizontally and still be reliable considering the seals, etc? Curious to know and share info! Why horizontal? Do not have to dig down as much, maybe? Also easier to probe location later...dunno? RSVP!
Answer: I don't see any reason it could not be buried horizontally.
