This is a Midwest Industries AR-15 Locking Low Profile Front Sight. It is for use with railed hand guards or gas blocks the same height as upper receiver. When folded, it measures only .437" from picatinny rail. Can be used with AR-10 or AR-15. The smooth locking mechanism prevents accidental or recoil induced lowering of sight. 6061 aluminum hard coat annodized to mil-spec. It uses a standard A2 front sight post. Optional tritium front sight for low light conditions is available.
