Installing this handguard is a drop-in system that allows you to keep your handguard retaining ring on and avoid permanently modifying your firearm. For adding attachments, this handguard includes Picatinny rail sections at the 3, 6, 9 and 12 o'clock positions. Adding increased modularity, the rail is compatible with Alpha optics mounts and dust cover for a stable solution without removing your rear sight. and to protect your investment Midwest has given this rail a beautiful hardcoat anodized finish.
