The Blast Diverter from Midwest Industries is a great choice for anyone who is on a dynamic entry team or frequently shoots in close proximity to other people. It is a linear compensator that works to divert all of the muzzle blast from your rifle or pistol straight forward, towards the target, and reducing the effect of concussion on those around you. It fits any .30 caliber (7.62, .308, .300 Blackout etc) modern sporting rifle with a standard 5/8x24 threaded muzzle. The Blast Diverter is made of tool steel with a Parkerized finish, and includes a new crush washer.

Redirects muzzle blast down range
I have it on a 10.5" barreled 300 Blackout pistol and it does a great job directing noise and gas down range. I don't really see an issue with the ports being angled vs straight complaint from the 1-star reviewer. It's perceived quieter (to me) than shooting 5.56 out of a 16" barrel with an A2 birdcage and the recoil stays fairly flat making it easy to make quick follow up shots.

Before I purchased this I
Before I purchased this I went on m.i. Web site to get the specs , it is longer wider and a touch heavier than they claim also the 8 little holes are drilled at a 45 degree angle so the blast doesn't go straight forward I compared this to just a thread protector on my 300 blk pistol and couldn't tell any difference when shooting, I like m.i. Products but can't understand how this poor design got out.

Will this fit an AK47?
Answer: Depends on the thread pitch of your AK. This fits a standard 5/8x24 right hand thread pattern. Most AK's are metric 14x1 left hand thread pattern.
