This 9x18mm Makarov ammo has taken quite the journey. It was manufactured by MFS in Hungary in 2012. It was then shipped to Slovakia, where law enforcement officers were meant to use it for training with their standard issue CZ vz. 82 pistols. After Slovakian police switched over to the CZ vz. 75 (with which 9mm Mak is not compatible), this ammo was shipped to our warehouse , where it presently awaits the journey to your home.
This ammo’s noncorrosive Boxer primers and new brass cases are both what you’d expect of American-made ammo. Its bullets, however, are out of the ordinary. They are frangible, meaning they will shatter apart into fragments and dust when they strike hard surfaces such as concrete or steel. They are also made of sintered iron (as opposed to copper) – hence their certain attraction to a magnet.
If you can fire magnetic projectiles at your indoor range, then you’ll appreciate a sintered iron bullet’s ability to keep the range and its occupants’ lungs both cleaner!
