Will this stock fit a panzer speed pro
Answer:
Hello Dan! Here is Mesa tactical's answer to your question:
The short answer is, right out of the box it is unlikely the 91470 Urbino stock will fit, but with some effort you can probably make it fit.
Mesa Tactical Urbino stocks like the 91470 should fit on a Panzer Arms M4 and Pro Speed. When Panzer is assembling their M4s they are inconsistent when installing the recoil tube. On the rear of the receiver there is a recoil tube with a spring in it that catches the tail of the bolt carrier. On some clones the recoil tube is properly installed but on many clones the tube is not tightened into the receiver enough. When the recoil tube is not properely installed into the receiver it sticks out more than normal. If you get one of these shotguns, when you try to install the Urbino stock the recoil tube will bottom out on the internals of the Urbino stock before the Urbino stock is properly seated against the shotgun receiver.
There is a solution to this. You can strip your Panzer Arms M4 down to the receiver. remove the jam nut from the recoil tube. You would then use a heat gun or similar heat source to soften the thread lock and you can tighten the recoil tube further into the shotgun receiver. Wait to cool then replace the jam nut and you should be able to install the Urbino stock.
Mesa Tactical does not have a Panzer Arms Pro Speed here in the office so we cannot test a Pro Speed directly but I imagine the recoil tube inconsistancy will be the same for the Pro Speed as it is for the regular M4 variation. You could get a M4 or Pro Speed where the Urbino goes right on out of the box or I think you are more likely to get one where you would need to go through the recoil tube tightening process.
The recoil tube on the end of the Panzer Arms M4 is also threaded with M8x1.25 threads where Benelli uses M8x1 threads. You would need to purchase a new mount bolt (M8x1.25 x 25mm) which you can do online or at a local hardware store. The attached Process.pdf I wrote going through the process of installing an Urbino stock on a MAC 1014 but the process is nearly the same for the Panzer Arms M4 and likely for the Pro Speed as well.
