What makes this .45 Long Colt unique is the total polymer jacket over the round nose flat point bullet. Unlike conventional bare lead or metal jacketed projectiles, these are encased in hard polymer to reduce toxic lead gasses and protect the bore of your barrel for a longer service life. Not only is it safer for your lungs and barrel, but compared to FMJ rounds it is much less likely to ricochet when shooting in rocky environments or at steel. MBI does make some reloads, but these are brand new brass and loaded with non-corrosive boxer primers. Make sure to pick up your empty casings to keep the savings rolling and use them for your own reloads down the road. MBI may by unorthodox and unusual compared to industry standards, but their ammo is good quality and one of the best bangs for your buck you will find.
