Make no mistake: This ammunition is not loaded with nickel-plated brass cases. It’s loaded with zinc-plated steel cases, and therefore isn’t reloadable. Its steel cases do lower this ammo’s price tag, however. That is their sole benefit. In addition to enhancing its cosmetic appearance, the case’s zinc plating helps reduce friction that could otherwise have impaired functionality in a semi-automatic firearm.

Most steel-cased ammo is loaded with bullets that also contain steel. This ammunition is an exception. Its 115 grain full metal jacket projectiles feature lead cores and copper jackets that cannot attract a magnet. Magtech captured the bullet’s 1,135 fps muzzle velocity with a standard 4” test barrel.
