The PMAG 10 Gen M3 is the standard

The Magpul PMAG 10 Gen M3 magazine is a 10-round 5.56x45mm NATO (.223 Remington) polymer magazine for AR-15/M4 compatible weapons. Designed to work flawlessly every time no matter what conditions you encounter, this is a great replacement or spare AR-15 magazine for areas that do not permit high-capacity magazines.

Along with an expanded feature set and compatibility, this PMAG 10 magazine incorporates new material technology and manufacturing processes for enhanced strength, durability and reliability to exceed rigorous military performance specifications. A redesigned bolt catch notch in the rear of the magazine provides increased bolt catch clearance, while an over-travel stop on the spine helps ensure the magazine will not over-insert on compatible weapons.

good unit
I got a scary black gun because they are relatively inexpensive and use ammo that is readily available and suitable for dispatching destructive critters that sometimes make the mistake of invading my territory. In general, these firearms are setup with large capacity magazines made for war or at least rapid fire situations. I don't care about that. I take pride in requiring a single shot to complete the job at hand for which a firearm is the appropriate tool to use. A 10 round magazine is the smallest one available and barely sticks out of the mag well. This is a good one. It's like the ones they make for Gravy Seal team 6 but with a capacity that makes sense for a civilian.
