The Best Drum Magazines I Have Ever Used-Easily Paint Marked For Those Special Loads
I Cannot give a much better STRONG recommendation for Magpul magazines in general in so much that every handgun and rifle that I own has their magazines! Those who might recall, at one time AR rifles were not so easily found and really expensive. In the work I had at the time I had seemed to yet again upset a pair of drug dealers whose family mainly conducted dealing and murder. At the time, the threat I had was taken seriously enough that the local PD and Sheriff's were conducting day and night patrols of my home for my family and me. Having intel of a planned ''drive by'' I was wanting something quickly that was compact and had maximum firepower that could penetrate a car. I got a Kel Tec PLR-16 and soon found the MagPul drums for green tip 5.56 along with a substantial supply of Magpul box mags. In fact, every firearm I have that there are their mags available-I have many, even for my RPK LMG and AK Para models. I have found that I prefer their 9mm mags even in my beloved Glock 26 Gen 3 over original mags. I literally gathered some 10 of the drum mags for the Bushmaster I later got also, added a gas piston conversion kit and a Vortex sight. Now I want some Magpuls for my Ruger/Troy 6.8 SPC ''Dream'' AR! The SSA OTM rounds have dropped medium sized oak trees! I so wish that they made a drum mag for the RPK, I have had ZERO failures with MagPul AR drums and I keep 4 loaded all the time. The MagPul box mags are flawless in the Polish Paratrooper Underfolder AKM and the RPK. As a former L/E firearms instructor, 3 service veteran and former Police match competitor, I only stick with what works. I have moved several times, gathered a few more of the bad guys who have made threats, even caused a Skinhead to lose and swallow a couple teeth, so I still stay wary, even though years have passed. I did have a home invasion attempted back in the 90's, so it is nice to now have faster firepower than the 10+1 Remington 870 than I had that night. Fed Flawlessly no jamming. So easy to take apart and fix a trained monkey can do it. If you load wrong it will jam a bit but is very easy to take apart and unjam. Read the instructions when buying ANYTHING.

Magpul Quality and Reliability
First off drum magazines in general can be finicky because people don't read the instructions and understand how to properly load/unload them. However with that said the Magpul D60 is dummy proof. I would love for someone who had problems to post a video or a photo of the damage that they claim. Nevertheless if you are in the market for a drum magazine for the AR-15 the Magpul is an excellent choice. Obviously it's way heavier than standard AR-15 magazines but that's to be expected with the enhanced capacity.
