Instead of the traditional mechanism, Magpul has incorporated a textured ambidextrous sliding trigger release into the side of the body for one-handed manipulation. It also functions as a toolless takedown when used in conjunction with the partially recessed lever lock located on the underside of the stock. When locked it only slides to the furthest standard position but unlocked it can be easily adjusted entirely off the tube without having to fight a traditional spring-loaded lever. Sling mounting is also easily achieved by directly looping the strap through ambidextrous M-LOK slots at the rear or by installing an M-LOK compatible QD socket.
