The Magpul GL L-Plate is a replacement floor plate for Magpul PMAG GL9 magazines. This replacement floor plate is made of durable reinforced polymer with a rubber overmold. The GL L-Plate is designed to aid in seating of the magazine into extended magazine wells to provide positive traction and impact protection without being unnecessarily bulky.

Does it make sense to put on? YES!
Ok so you bought your Magpul mags....does it make sense to now replace the baseplates? YES! For positive seating of the mag, extra protection for reloads (dropping the mag on the ground), extracting from a mag holder, or if having to do a "lock rip rack tap roll" fix for a malfunction, these baseplates are just the ticket. The wonderful but not overdone larger size and taper allow a great deal of surface area to grip but are not gaudy or goofy looking. Install takes like 10 seconds. Worth every penny, wish Magpul comes out with plates like this for other magazines for other popular pistols. Pictures include a comparison of the stock plate, the Magpul magazine plate, and this add on to it, and includes the mag installed in the pistol with and without the Magpul magwell (another great item). Serious confidence in sending and seating the mag where it belongs. I'm not a "Glock Guy", but this helps with the ease of use of the pistol, wish Magpul comes out with plates like this for other magazines for other popular pistols.
