This Leupold one-piece standard base is intended for the Remington 700 rifle. Leopold's steel bases and mounting rings (sold separately) combine to create their most versatile mounting system. Rear rings are secured by windage adjustment screws, reserving the scope's internal adjustments for precise sight-in. For gross elevation adjustments, shims can be used, reserving the scope's elevation adjustment for bullet drop compensation dial applications.
