The left-side folding buttstock is patterned after the stocks of the AK-74M and AK-100 series rifles and includes a metal hinge insert, a trapdoor for a compartment for an AK-pattern cleaning kit, high-strength hardened steel ribbed butt plate, and an anti-bind sling swivel. It attaches to the rear block of the rifle via the original 4.5mm pivot pin from the AKS-74 and AKSU rifles and can be used as a direct replacement and upgrade to the triangular skeleton stocks. The pistol grip follows the original Russian AK-74 pattern and includes a metal reinforcement. The lower handguard incorporates a stainless steel heat shield and metal insert, resulting in decreased heat transfer and maximum user comfort during long shooting sessions. The ribbed design of these handguards not only allows for a better grip but because of their increased surface area they also cool down faster. This stock set will fit any stamped receiver AKSU-type rifles, including Arsenal's SLR-104UR, SLR-106U/UR, and SLR-107U/UR rifles. These are the only US made mil-spec stock sets in the market that are also 922r compliant.
