It's an SR style tube not LR
It is easy to confuse AR 308 style rifle parts. DPMS cut lowers usually use the shorty buffer with a standard m4/ar15 style tube. SR cut Armalite, Ruger Moved me etc... is the military used style which uses a slightly longer tube to make room for a standard 3.25 inch buffer. If your buffer is around 2.50 inches this is the wrong tube you want an ar15 length tube.

Not all tubes are created equal
Bought this for a DPMS AR-10. I wanted to change the butt stock out to the Leapers UTG Pro Model 4 Combat Ops butt stock. The butt stock I had on hand was a Mil-Spec, so I needed to change the tube. Changing the tube is less expensive than buying another butt stock. This tube is an inch longer than the standard AR-10 tube. I know this because first I held them side by side. Second the JP Enterprises Silent Capture Spring system I have installed is specifically for an AR-10. It is too short for this tube by an inch. Thankfully I kept the nylon spacers that come with the JP Enterprises AR-15 SCS's, and was able to cut one down so the Silent Capture Spring system now works properly in this tube. It gets 2 stars because I was able to make it work through a feat of engineering, and the UTG Pro Combat Ops butt stock fits. Cons: An inch longer than the standard AR-10 tube.

Just what was needed for my AR-10.
I needed an extension tube 7-7/8" long for my AR-10. Armalite and others have been out of stock for a while. This Leapers product was exactly what I needed and works flawlessly.

What size buffer spring should be used? I have an 11" laying around but I'm going to use a 3.25" buffer.

This would require a Carbine Buffer Spring. Carbine springs should be between 10.0625 inches and 11.25 inches in length.
