I love these stocks. I have 5 of them. There were 10 reviews when I wrote one last week. They went bye-bye. If you're close to 6 ft tall this will become your favorite stock.

Good for the price
Just a good basic a2 style stock. 15 minute to clean up some molding lines and installed. Works as well as a higher prices.

Garbage...
(1) Threw this stock kit on a 14.5" build with a carbine length gas system. Gun short-stroked right off the bat... cycled most of the time with milspec M855, but wouldn't fully cycle whatsoever with slightly cooler commercial ammo. Threw the upper on a different lower, and no more issues. After trouble-shooting, I determined the issue was with the buffer assembly. Specifically, spring tension is too heavy, and the buffer is an overly-tight fit in the tube. Found a lot of people online who've had the same issue. Generally, the fixes are: cut coils off the spring until the gun cycles properly and/or (2) lap the outside of the buffer. Another issue: several other reviews said their stocks matched Magpul furniture. Mine very much does not. It's about a full shade darker, and has a greenish-grey hue compared to Magpul FDE. Bottom Line: Love UTG red dots, but this stock set is garbage. I'm sure a lot of folks got one that worked, but I'm not the only one who's received a stock set that fails so badly it causes a gun to short stroke.

A2 Rifle Stock
Very pleased with this heavy duty butt stock! Quality components and the Flat Dark Earth color is an excellent match with my Magpul furniture. Easy installation, great price, quick shipping. All-round great experience!

Solid and functional, fit
Solid and functional, fits well, looks good. Just understand it has no castle nut, you tighten down the tube until it's flange stops you, and the butt stock then fits over the tube, and against the rear takedown detent Spring, there is no plate. The upper butt plate screw then holds it all together, so a little blue loctite might be a good idea.

A nice solid stock, fit a
A nice solid stock, fit and finish is great. Color was very close to Magpul FDE, exactly what I wanted. The trap door is made of plastic, however it is fine. No complaints, and the price was right!

I've used 5 of these in b
I've used 5 of these in both colors, also the 308 type. They all work good and I've had no troubles. I use these on nonstandard caliber builds and I do swap the springs for the David Tubb Flat wire spring and some of the builds I have added extra weight to the buffer. Obviously, I like these stocks.

As mentioned in other reviews it came completely assembled, however I did not have any difficulty taking it apart using the proper screwdriver, the finish and color match my Magpul pistol grip perfectly, I was afraid that there might be a slight difference in the FDE color between manufacturers. Fit and finish are of good quality. Shipped very quickly as always with CTD, would give 5 bullets if it came unassembled or not so tight at least.

Comes fully assembled, the screw attaching the buffer tube to the stock is covered in lock tight and is already attached. It is so tight that I've stripped the flat head and can't get it taken apart. Makes no sense that they would pre attach everything with lock tight when you have to take it apart to install it.

It's unlikely. You can expect some color variation to differing dye lots of the same manufacturer. Matching colors from different manufacturers is extremely difficult if not impossible.

The tube included is the M16 or M16A1 or A1 tube. It is also sometimes called a rifle receiver extension.
