We think highly of high-tech AR-15 stocks. Adjustable lengths and cheek risers are always nice. So too are all those fancy colors. But at the end of the day, you just can’t go wrong with a plain-Jane A2 fixed assembly stock in conventional black.

This assembly is made of aluminum and polymer, with a total weight of 25 ounces. Its position is not adjustable. It possesses no quick-detach features. It’s basic as basic stock assemblies come, making it ideal for the purist or lover of no-frills firearms.

This kit contains everything required for installation and use: the impact-resistant injection-molded stock itself, plus the A2 tube, recoil spring (steel), buffer assembly, stock spacer and screw needed to put it all together.

The stock features a small storage compartment. It won’t fit a spare mag, but a compact cleaning kit or other collection of small accessories could hide in there quite comfortably.
