Do u need to change the spring also from a 3.8 oz to this 5.5oz buffer pin. So i nees diff pressure spring also.
Answer:
Hello Dan. Replacing either your buffer or your spring depends on the issue you are trying to fix. If there is an issue with feeding, cycling, excessive recoil, etc., then that would require a swap in buffer only. Most issues should be resolvable through adjusting the gas pressure on the gas block or by swapping the buffer itself. Swapping the buffer spring is usually done if the firearm feels like it's shooting slower than normal, or if there are sporadic ejection patterns. If you were to change the length of your buffer tube, then you'd have to swap multiple parts out. In short, the answer to your question is no: you do not need to swap the buffer spring just because you swapped the buffer.
