I have purchased several of these over the years
When I first saw these years ago I was very skeptical about if it was worth the high price. I had attended an event that on the last day vendors donate products to give away in a raffle to be held that night. I ended up winning the 5.56 version and gave it a try. I didn't notice much at first but it did a great job of keeping muzzle rise to a minnimum. Then I tried some rapid fire and it tightend up the groups significantly. When my kid was new to shooting they had issues with recoil and did not like shooting anything with more recoil then a .22lr . But when they asked to try my AR15 again I let him. This time they loved it and they just wanted to continue shooting my AR for the rest of the time we had at the range. Because of that I started to replace all of my traditional bird cage muzzle devices over to the Dragons. Now all of my rifles that Lantac has comparable thread patterns are sporting Dragons except for the guns that I have QD surpressor mounts on them. Fast forward several years and I am running them on AR15s, Sig Mpx, Mp5, Colt Commando SMG, and the Ak47 I even added one to a Sig p226 after I had an extra one on my bench and it helped with muzzle rise at 100 yard rifle range with an 8 inch steel gong . Without it the muzzle rise was pulling the follow up shot just above the gong. With the dragon both rounds would ring the steel gong. I wish that Lantac would add more thread patterns and work with all surpressor manufacturers to add more fast attach mounts to their product line. Overall the only issues that I have noticed is that on indoor ranges the concusion to the sides of the shooter is pretty good. But its not as noticeable outside. The price is a bit high when they have been available for several years now. They would be better if they cost a hundred bucks instead of what they do charge or include the BMD collar with the Dragon at the current prices. I do wish that they had them in other colors besides black such as FDE. Pros: Easy to control with rapid fire Cons: Availability
