This KNS Precision .250" diameter pivot pin has a spring loaded push button. When pushed, the stainless steel keeper pins retract for easy pin removal. Once the pin is in place, push the button and slide the stud over the retracting balls and release. Put your sling swivel into the stud and you are ready to place your sling on the rifle. This eliminates any weight or tension on the barrel of the weapon. When sling swivel is inserted in the stud, the stud is locked onto the pin. You must remove the sling swivel from the stud in order to remove the stud from the pin.

Have used one on another
Have used one on another AR and it works very well. Got this one for a new AR. Easy to install and is secure.

Was a little worried at f
Was a little worried at first about it coming apart, but after installing it and 'field testing' it, I'm confident it will hold as long as I want it to. It does exactly what it is supposed to, and does it well.

This is a great addition
This is a great addition to my first AR build. Eliminates the need for detents to retain the pin, and fits securely with no play at all. Nice tight fit. Also adds a spot for a swivel sling mount. Would have given it 5 bullets, but it seems slightly overpriced for what it is. I would still highly recommend. Great product!!

Had mine on for about a y
Had mine on for about a year but decided to remove it when I added another upper to my collection. The only reason I did this is it's a little bit fiddly to take off every time I want to put the other upper on. I suggest these to my friends that get single task AR's.

I bought one for my AR-15
I bought one for my AR-15 Carbine, and LAR-15 Pistol. It's not designed to work with the retention pin and spring at all. If you don't mind losing those 2 parts along with the stock pivot pin, then it's a good replacement. Gripes are that it has to be completely removed in order to disassemble the weapon versus pulling the stock pivot pin out to the detent, and removal is somewhat tricky. Push in on the release (right side) and push pin out from the left. Mine are still installed, but not sure for how much longer.

Seems to be plenty strong
Seems to be plenty strong enough. The problem I had was that the sling was now in the way of the magizine well, especially with a coupled mag.

Have this on my AR - good
Have this on my AR - good stuff. With a buttstock that has a sling hole in the right spot (like the magpul CTR), it will allow the weapon to hang directly in front of you (muzzle down), comfortably.Strong swivel, positive locking detents.

This pin is a perfect fit
This pin is a perfect fit on my Bushmaster. Easy to replace (as long as you have the right tool to remove the retention stud and spring on the old pin), and very well made. The swivel spins around on the pin, relieving stress on the pin and receiver. And the detents under the swivel cap are strong enough to hold the cap through some pretty rough handling. I don't mean you can hang from it, but it'll keep your rifle close.
