Meh...
Threads were rusted on each section. The coating is nothing more than a thick coat of red paint that scratches off very easily. Other than that, it does what it's supposed to do. I got what I paid for.

Heavy duty much stronger than the cleaning rods that are packaged up with most cleaning kits. With a protective wrap so the bore chrome linings will not get scratched while cleaning. You get what you pay for.

The red coating flakes of
The red coating flakes off and gets everywhere. This does not hold up. Stopped using because of this, so this product is a waste of money.

I bought this and a cheap
I bought this and a cheaper set of rods to try out (I usually just use a Boresnake and brushes/cables). This set is awesome. First, it breaks down nicely to fit into even the smallest of tool bags/boxes. Second, the material the rods are made of feels solid and I can't bend them with a more than average amount of force. Another plus is that the sections are so small, you can easily select the length you need. The patch holder for both the small patches is metal, while the patch holder for shotgun sizes is plastic (the adapter is brass).The ball bearing handle does not have a way to lock, so you're at the mercy of the barrel twist. The 'Clamshell Case' is not really good for long term use. It's basically for displaying it on a store rack, and that's it.
